Unpublished Working PaperDecision: How much milk production is lost to heat and cold stress, and what do the estimates imply for adaptation investments?
Links monthly milk yield and fat content in 21 major U.S. dairy states (2003–2025) to hourly weather. Synthetic-data simulations select a cubic regression for heat and a debiased neural network for cold; estimated losses depend on the assumed response function.
Silvopasture Economics in the Southeastern U.S.

Pairs enterprise budget modelling with biophysical carbon accumulation data to estimate net present value of silvopasture conversion over a full rotation, with and without carbon revenue. Presented at the AAEA-WAEA Annual Meeting in Denver, July 2025.
Salinity and Rice Production in Vietnam Mekong Delta
PublishedDecision: As rising salinity erodes rice profits, should Mekong Delta farmers adapt in place with salt-tolerant varieties and barriers, or move their land out of rice?
Uses multi-year panel surveys of more than 750 rice-growing households to measure how salinity affects rice yields and profits, and when falling profitability pushes farmers out of rice. Published in Climate and Development (2022) and the Journal of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (2025).
