Research
My research examines how climate shocks, water scarcity, and policy incentives shape land use and agricultural decisions. My job market paper estimates the economic impacts of heat and cold stress on U.S. dairy production, with estimator choice guided by synthetic-data simulations. Other projects cover saltwater intrusion and rice farming in the Mekong Delta, and the economics of silvopasture and carbon sequestration in the southeastern United States.

Monthly data from 21 major U.S. dairy states link heat and cold exposure to milk yield and fat content. Synthetic-data simulations guide estimator choice; heat reduces yield, while the cold estimate is imprecise and magnitudes depend on the response function.
